Steven Minor Lukhard, 61, of Bon Air, VA, passed away September 17, 2020, due to Alzheimer's disease. He was born June 23, 1959 to parents Ronald "Cotton" Lukhard and Norma Johnston in Richmond, VA. Steven graduated from Hermitage High School in 1977. He moved to San Diego, CA and received his associates degree from San Diego State University. While exploring the West Coast, he met the love of his life, Sauni Lukhard, and they married in 1996. Steven is survived by Sauni Lukhard, Bryce Lukhard, Kathryn Booth, Farin Kehoe, Sydney & Richard Carter, Deborah Lukhard, Susan & Neil Kassman, Jeff & Emily Lukhard, Kelley Walker, Stephanie Taylor, Kristine Muldoon, Shannon Stone, Liz Couch, and Tripp Wilkinson and his loving caretaker Shelia Lang. Steven traveled all over, but truly loved being at home, surrounded by his pets with a good book and a nice bourbon. His mischievous sense of humor and long winded tales will forever be remembered. The celebration of life service will be held The Place at Innsbrook October, 3, 2020 3pm-5pm. Instead of flowers, we are asking for Donations to be made in Steven's name to the Alzheimer's Association.

I never met you Steven, but I know how much Sauni loved you. It was always so obvious that her love for you was passionate and unconditional and I'm sure that is because you treated her so well and loved her as fiercely.

RIP Steven. Love you Sauni.

How we will miss his deep musical chuckles and sweet friendship. We will miss being greeted by a big hug and a kiss on the cheek. Regaled with stories of the pets and children and history. You meant so much to us Steven. We love you - Darla, Jay & Jocelyn
